I went to the Halloween store, but nothing there was appropriate for a 24-year-old non-prostitute. Darn.

"Non-prostitute" is key. I'm pretty sure no company in the US currently produces costumes for women over the age of 12 that don't make you look like you're on break from the strip club. That's why I prefer to make my own :)
